Katy was brought up amongst
animals on a farm in Scotland, and has travelled widely across
Africa and Europe, both of which continue to play an increasingly
large part in her work.
Whilst she is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh, Katy has
had little formal art education. Through working and experimenting
with different mediums, Katy captures and translates an animal’s
movement and natural beauty into simple, tactile and engaging
sculptures.
Since taking up sculpture full time in June 2005 Katy’s bronze
sculptures continue to go from strength to strength and she is
rapidly acquiring a devoted and increasingly prevalent following. |
